6) সূরা আল আন-আম – Surah Al-An’am (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ – Ayah 165)

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِশুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

 

(1 الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِم يَعْدِلُونَ

সর্ববিধ প্রশংসা আল্লাহরই জন্য যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং অন্ধকার ও আলোর উদ্ভব করেছেন। তথাপি কাফেররা স্বীয় পালনকর্তার সাথে অন্যান্যকে সমতুল্য স্থির করে।

Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord.

(2 هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَى أَجَلاً وَأَجَلٌ مُّسمًّى عِندَهُ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ

তিনিই তোমাদেরকে মাটির দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর নির্দিষ্টকাল নির্ধারণ করেছেন। আর অপর নির্দিষ্টকাল আল্লাহর কাছে আছে। তথাপি তোমরা সন্দেহ কর।

He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!

(3 وَهُوَ اللّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَفِي الأَرْضِ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ

তিনিই আল্লাহ নভোমন্ডলে এবং ভূমন্ডলে। তিনি তোমাদের গোপন ও প্রকাশ্য বিষয় জানেন এবং তোমরা যা কর তাও অবগত।

And He is Allah in the heavens and on earth. He knoweth what ye hide, and what ye reveal, and He knoweth the (recompense) which ye earn (by your deeds).

(4 وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ مِّنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلاَّ كَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

তাদের কাছে তাদের প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শনাবলী থেকে কোন নিদর্শন আসেনি; যার প্রতি তারা বিমুখ হয় না।

But never did a single one of the signs of their Lord reach them, but they turned away therefrom.

(5 فَقَدْ كَذَّبُواْ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاء مَا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ

অতএব, অবশ্য তারা সত্যকে মিথ্যা বলেছে যখন তা তাদের কাছে এসেছে। বস্তুতঃ অচিরেই তাদের কাছে ঐ বিষয়ের সংবাদ আসবে, যার সাথে তারা উপহাস করত।

And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at.

(6 أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاء عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ

তারা কি দেখেনি যে, আমি তাদের পুর্বে কত সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, যাদেরকে আমি পৃথিবীতে এমন প্রতিষ্ঠা দিয়েছিলাম, যা তোমাদেরকে দেইনি। আমি আকাশকে তাদের উপর অনবরত বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করতে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের তলদেশে নদী সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছি, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে তাদের পাপের কারণে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের পরে অন্য সম্প্রদায় সৃষ্টি করেছি।

See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you – for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them).

(7 وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَابًا فِي قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَـذَا إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ

যদি আমি কাগজে লিখিত কোন বিষয় তাদের প্রতি নাযিল করতাম, অতঃপর তারা তা সহস্তে স্পর্শ করত, তবুও অবিশ্বাসীরা একথাই বলত যে, এটা প্রকাশ্য জাদু বৈ কিছু নয়।

If We had sent unto thee a written (message) on parchment, so that they could touch it with their hands, the Unbelievers would have been sure to say: “This is nothing but obvious magic!”

(8 وَقَالُواْ لَوْلا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الأمْرُ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنظَرُونَ

তারা আরও বলে যে, তাঁর কাছে কোন ফেরেশতা কেন প্রেরণ করা হল না ? যদি আমি কোন ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করতাম, তবে গোটা ব্যাপারটাই শেষ হয়ে যেত। অতঃপর তাদেরকে সামান্যও অবকাশ দেওয়া হতনা।

They say: “Why is not an angel sent down to him?” If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them.
