Simple Daily Dhikr to Remember Allah

Dhikr, or the remembrance of Allah, is one of the simplest yet most profound acts of worship a Muslim can perform. It requires no specific time, place, or elaborate preparation—only a sincere heart and a tongue that moves in devotion. The act of Dhikr keeps us connected to our Creator, strengthens our faith, and brings tranquility to our hearts. Allah promises in the Qur’an:

“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:28)

Let us explore simple daily Dhikr that every Muslim can incorporate into their routine, along with their significance, benefits, and references from the Qur’an and Hadith.

 SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar

One of the easiest and most rewarding forms of Dhikr is to repeat:

(SubhanAllah: Glory be to Allah)
(Alhamdulillah: All praise is due to Allah)
(Allahu Akbar: Allah is the Greatest)

Qur’anic Reference:

These phrases are a part of a believer’s essential vocabulary and are mentioned in the Qur’an in various forms. For instance:

“So exalt Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning.” (Surah Ar-Rum, 30:17)

Hadith Reference:

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“There are two statements that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahi al-‘Azeem.” (Sahih Bukhari, 6682; Sahih Muslim, 2694)

Daily Application:

Recite these phrases 33 times each after every obligatory prayer, as recommended in the Hadith:
This totals 100, ensuring a complete and rewarding remembrance session.

“There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.”
