Translation: “O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous. It is He who made for you the earth a bed and the sky a canopy, and He sent down from the sky rain, bringing forth fruits as provision for you. So do not set up rivals to Allah while you know [that He alone is worthy of worship].”

Translation: “Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray.”

This verse indicates that Allah does not forgive shirk unless the person repents and turns back to Him. The severity of this sin emphasizes the necessity of worshiping Allah alone.

The Consequences of Rejecting Tawheed Al-Uluhiyyah

“اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا۟ يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ أَوۡلِيَآؤُهُمُ ٱلطَّٰغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُمْ مِنَ ٱلنُّورِ إِلَى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَۖ أَصْحَابُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ”

Translation: “Allah is the ally of those who believe – He brings them out from darkness into the light. And those who disbelieve – their allies are taghut (false deities) who bring them out of the light into darkness. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.”

This verse underscores the critical role of Tawheed in leading one to salvation and the consequences of following a path of polytheism, which leads to eternal damnation.

The Prophetic Guidance on Tawheed Al-Uluhiyyah
