He [Allah] said, ‘My punishment – I afflict with it whom I will; but My mercy encompasses all things. So I will decree it especially for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our signs.'”

Translation: “Indeed, Allah stretches His hand out at night so that the sinner of the day may repent, and He stretches His hand out during the day so that the sinner of the night may repent, until the sun rises from the west.”
