Para 23 – ২৩ পারা।সূরা ইয়াসিন এর ২২-৮৩ আয়াত, সূরা আস সাফফাত, ও সূরা ছোয়াদ, সূরা জুমার এর ১-৩১ আয়াত পর্যন্ত
22 وَمَا لِي لاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ আমার কি হল যে, যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যার কাছে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে, আমি তাঁর এবাদত করব না? “It would not be reasonable in me if I did not serve Him Who created me, and to Whom ye shall (all) be brought back.
23. أَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَن بِضُرٍّ لاَّ تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُنقِذُونِ আমি কি তাঁর পরিবর্তে অন্যান্যদেরকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করব? করুণাময় যদি আমাকে কষ্টে নিপতিত করতে চান, তবে তাদের সুপারিশ আমার কোনই কাজে আসবে না এবং তারা আমাকে রক্ষাও করতে পারবে না। “Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If ((Allah)) Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me.
24 إِنِّي إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ এরূপ করলে আমি প্রকাশ্য পথভ্রষ্টতায় পতিত হব। “I would indeed, if I were to do so, be in manifest Error
25 إِنِّي آمَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ আমি নিশ্চিতভাবে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম। অতএব আমার কাছ থেকে শুনে নাও। “For me, I have faith in the Lord of you (all): listen, then, to me!”
26 قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ তাকে বলা হল, জান্নাতে প্রবেশ কর। সে বলল হায়, আমার সম্প্রদায় যদি কোন ক্রমে জানতে পারত- It was said: “Enter thou the Garden.” He said: “Ah me! Would that my People knew (what I know)!-
27 بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ যে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার আমাকে ক্ষমা করেছেন এবং আমাকে সম্মানিতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন। “For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!”
28 وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى قَوْمِهِ مِن بَعْدِهِ مِنْ جُندٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاء وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ তারপর আমি তার সম্প্রদায়ের উপর আকাশ থেকে কোন বাহিনী অবতীর্ণ করিনি এবং আমি (বাহিনী) অবতরণকারীও না। And We sent not down against his People, after him, any hosts from heaven, nor was it needful for Us so to do.
29 إِن كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ বস্তুতঃ এ ছিল এক মহানাদ। অতঃপর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সবাই স্তদ্ধ হয়ে গেল। It was no more than a single mighty Blast, and behold! they were (like ashes) quenched and silent.
30 يَا حَسْرَةً عَلَى الْعِبَادِ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون বান্দাদের জন্যে আক্ষেপ যে, তাদের কাছে এমন কোন রসূলই আগমন করেনি যাদের প্রতি তারা বিদ্রুপ করে না। Ah! Alas for (My Servants! There comes not an apostle to them but they mock him!
31 أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنْ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ তারা কি প্রত্যক্ষ করে না, তাদের পূর্বে আমি কত সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করেছি যে, তারা তাদের মধ্যে আর ফিরে আসবে না। See they not how many generations before them we destroyed? Not to them will they return:
32 وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ওদের সবাইকে সমবেত অবস্থায় আমার দরবারে উপস্থিত হতেই হবে। But each one of them all – will be brought before Us (for judgment).
33 وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمُ الْأَرْضُ الْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ তাদের জন্যে একটি নিদর্শন মৃত পৃথিবী। আমি একে সঞ্জীবিত করি এবং তা থেকে উৎপন্ন করি শস্য, তারা তা থেকে ভক্ষণ করে। A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat.
34 وَجَ عَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ الْعُيُونِ আমি তাতে সৃষ্টি করি খেজুর ও আঙ্গুরের বাগান এবং প্রবাহিত করি তাতে নির্ঝরিণী। And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein:
35 لِيَأْكُلُوا مِن ثَمَرِهِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ যাতে তারা তার ফল খায়। তাদের হাত একে সৃষ্টি করে না। অতঃপর তারা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না কেন? That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks?
36 سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ পবিত্র তিনি যিনি যমীন থেকে উৎপন্ন উদ্ভিদকে, তাদেরই মানুষকে এবং যা তারা জানে না, তার প্রত্যেককে জোড়া জোড়া করে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other things of which they have no knowledge.
37 وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمْ اللَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ তাদের জন্যে এক নিদর্শন রাত্রি, আমি তা থেকে দিনকে অপসারিত করি, তখনই তারা অন্ধকারে থেকে যায়। And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
38 وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ সূর্য তার নির্দিষ্ট অবস্থানে আবর্তন করে। এটা পরাক্রমশালী, সর্বজ্ঞ, আল্লাহর নিয়ন্ত্রণ। And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
39 وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّى عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ চন্দ্রের জন্যে আমি বিভিন্ন মনযিল নির্ধারিত করেছি। অবশেষে সে পুরাতন খর্জুর শাখার অনুরূপ হয়ে যায়। And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
40 لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنبَغِي لَهَا أَن تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ সূর্য নাগাল পেতে পারে না চন্দ্রের এবং রাত্রি অগ্রে চলে না দিনের প্রত্যেকেই আপন আপন কক্ষপথে সন্তরণ করে। It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
41 وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ তাদের জন্যে একটি নিদর্শন এই যে, আমি তাদের সন্তান-সন্ততিকে বোঝাই নৌকায় আরোহণ করিয়েছি। And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark;
42 وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ এবং তাদের জন্যে নৌকার অনুরূপ যানবাহন সৃষ্টি করেছি, যাতে তারা আরোহণ করে।And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride.
43 وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদেরকে নিমজ্জত করতে পারি, তখন তাদের জন্যে কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই এবং তারা পরিত্রাণও পাবে না ।If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,
44 إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَاعًا إِلَى حِينٍ কিন্তু আমারই পক্ষ থেকে কৃপা এবং তাদেরকে কিছু কাল জীবনোপভোগ করার সুযোগ দেয়ার কারণে তা করি না। Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time.
45 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوا مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ আর যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, তোমরা সামনের আযাব ও পেছনের আযাবকে ভয় কর, যাতে তোমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করা হয়, তখন তারা তা অগ্রাহ্য করে। When they are told, “Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy,” (they turn back).
46 وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ مِّنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ যখনই তাদের পালনকর্তার নির্দেশাবলীর মধ্যে থেকে কোন নির্দেশ তাদের কাছে আসে, তখনই তারা তা থেকে মুখে ফিরিয়ে নেয়।Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom.
47 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمْ اللَّهُ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَاء اللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যা দিয়েছেন, তা থেকে ব্যয় কর। তখন কাফেররা মুমিনগণকে বলে, ইচ্ছা করলেই আল্লাহ যাকে খাওয়াতে পারতেন, আমরা তাকে কেন খাওয়াব? তোমরা তো স্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে পতিত রয়েছ। And when they are told, “Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you,” the Unbelievers say to those who believe: “Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)?- Ye are in nothing but manifest error.”
48 وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ তারা বলে, তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে বল এই ওয়াদা কবে পূর্ণ হবে? Further, they say, “When will this promise (come to pass), if what ye say is true?”
49 مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ তারা কেবল একটা ভয়াবহ শব্দের অপেক্ষা করছে, যা তাদেরকে আঘাত করবে তাদের পারস্পরিক বাকবিতন্ডাকালে। They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves!
50 فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ তখন তারা ওছিয়ত করতেও সক্ষম হবে না। এবং তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছেও ফিরে যেতে পারবে না।No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people!
51 وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ শিংগায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে, তখনই তারা কবর থেকে তাদের পালনকর্তার দিকে ছুটে চলবে। The trumpet shall be sounded, when behold! from the sepulchres (men) will rush forth to their Lord!
52 قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَن بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا هَذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُونَ তারা বলবে, হায় আমাদের দুর্ভোগ! কে আমাদেরকে নিদ্রাস্থল থেকে উখিত করল? রহমান আল্লাহ তো এরই ওয়াদা দিয়েছিলেন এবং রসূলগণ সত্য বলেছিলেন। They will say: “Ah! Woe unto us! Who hath raised us up from our beds of repose?”… (A voice will say:) “This is what ((Allah)) Most Gracious had promised. And true was the word of the apostles!”
53 إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ এটা তো হবে কেবল এক মহানাদ। সে মুহুর্তেই তাদের সবাইকে আমার সামনে উপস্থিত করা হবে। It will be no more than a single Blast, when lo! they will all be brought up before Us!(
54 فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ আজকের দিনে কারও প্রতি জুলুম করা হবে না এবং তোমরা যা করবে কেবল তারই প্রতিদান পাবে। Then, on that Day, not a soul will be wronged in the least, and ye shall but be repaid the meeds of your past Deeds.
55 إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فِي شُغُلٍ فَاكِهُونَ এদিন জান্নাতীরা আনন্দে মশগুল থাকবে। Verily the Companions of the Garden shall that Day have joy in all that they do;(
56 هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِي ظِلَالٍ عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ مُتَّكِؤُونَ তারা এবং তাদের স্ত্রীরা উপবিষ্ট থাকবে ছায়াময় পরিবেশে আসনে হেলান দিয়ে। They and their associates will be in groves of (cool) shade, reclining on Thrones (of dignity);
57 لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ সেখানে তাদের জন্যে থাকবে ফল-মূল এবং যা চাইবে। (Every) fruit (enjoyment) will be there for them; they shall have whatever they call for;
58 سَلَامٌ قَوْلًا مِن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ করুণাময় পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তাদেরকে বলা হবে সালাম। “Peace!” – a word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful!(
59 وَامْتَازُوا الْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ হে অপরাধীরা! আজ তোমরা আলাদা হয়ে যাও। “And O ye in sin! Get ye apart this Day!
60 أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطَانَ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ হে বনী-আদম! আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলে রাখিনি যে, শয়তানের এবাদত করো না, সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু? “Did I not enjoin on you, O ye Children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; for that he was to you an enemy avowed?
61 وَأَنْ اعْبُدُونِي هَذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ এবং আমার এবাদত কর। এটাই সরল পথ। “And that ye should worship Me, (for that) this was the Straight Way?
62 وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِلُونَ শয়তান তোমাদের অনেক দলকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছে। তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝনি? “But he did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did ye not, then, understand?
63 هَذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ এই সে জাহান্নাম, যার ওয়াদা তোমাদেরকে দেয়া হতো।”This is the Hell of which ye were (repeatedly) warned!
64 اصْلَوْهَا الْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ তোমাদের কুফরের কারণে আজ এতে প্রবেশ কর। “Embrace ye the (fire) this Day, for that ye (persistently) rejected (Truth).”
65 الْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَى أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ আজ আমি তাদের মুখে মোহর এঁটে দেব তাদের হাত আমার সাথে কথা বলবে এবং তাদের পা তাদের কৃতকর্মের সাক্ষ্য দেবে। That Day shall We set a seal on their mouths. But their hands will speak to us, and their feet bear witness, to all that they did.
66 وَلَوْ نَشَاء لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَى أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَأَنَّى يُبْصِرُونَ আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের দৃষ্টি শক্তি বিলুপ্ত করে দিতে পারতাম, তখন তারা পথের দিকে দৌড়াতে চাইলে কেমন করে দেখতে পেত! If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen?
67 وَلَوْ نَشَاء لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদেরকে স্ব স্ব স্থানে আকার বিকৃত করতে পারতাম, ফলে তারা আগেও চলতে পারত না এবং পেছনেও ফিরে যেতে পারত না। And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (to remain) in their places; then should they have been unable to move about, nor could they have returned (after error).
68 وَمَنْ نُعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ আমি যাকে দীর্ঘ জীবন দান করি, তাকে সৃষ্টিগত পূর্বাবস্থায় ফিরিয়ে নেই। তবুও কি তারা বুঝে না? If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand?
69 وَمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ الشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنبَغِي لَهُ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْآنٌ مُّبِينٌ আমি রসূলকে কবিতা শিক্ষা দেইনি এবং তা তার জন্যে শোভনীয়ও নয়। এটা তো এক উপদেশ ও প্রকাশ্য কোরআন । We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur’an making things clear.
70 لِيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ যাতে তিনি সতর্ক করেন জীবিতকে এবং যাতে কাফেরদের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).
71 أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَا أَنْعَامًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُونَ তারা কি দেখে না, তাদের জন্যে আমি আমার নিজ হাতের তৈরী বস্তুর দ্বারা চতুস্পদ জন্তু সৃষ্টি করেছি, অতঃপর তারাই এগুলোর মালিক। See they not that it is We Who have created for them – among the things which Our hands have fashioned – cattle, which are under their dominion?
72 وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ আমি এগুলোকে তাদের হাতে অসহায় করে দিয়েছি। ফলে এদের কতক তাদের বাহন এবং কতক তারা ভক্ষণ করে। And that We have subjected them to their (use)? of them some do carry them and some they eat.
73 وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ তাদের জন্যে চতুস্পদ জন্তুর মধ্যে অনেক উপকারিতা ও পানীয় রয়েছে। তবুও কেন তারা শুকরিয়া আদায় করে না? And they have (other) profits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink. Will they not then be grateful?
74 وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে অনেক উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে যাতে তারা সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত হতে পারে। Yet they take (for worship) gods other than Allah, (hoping) that they might be helped!
75 لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ অথচ এসব উপাস্য তাদেরকে সাহায্য করতে সক্ষম হবে না এবং এগুলো তাদের বাহিনী রূপে ধৃত হয়ে আসবে। They have not the power to help them: but they will be brought up (before Our Judgment-seat) as a troop (to be condemned).
76 فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ অতএব তাদের কথা যেন আপনাকে দুঃখিত না করে। আমি জানি যা তারা গোপনে করে এবং যা তারা প্রকাশ্যে করে। Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose.
77 أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ মানুষ কি দেখে না যে, আমি তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি বীর্য থেকে? অতঃপর তখনই সে হয়ে গেল প্রকাশ্য বাকবিতন্ডাকারী। Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!
78 وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُ قَالَ مَنْ يُحْيِي الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٌ সে আমার সম্পর্কে এক অদ্ভূত কথা বর্ণনা করে, অথচ সে নিজের সৃষ্টি ভুলে যায়। সে বলে কে জীবিত করবে অস্থিসমূহকে যখন সেগুলো পচে গলে যাবে? And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, “Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?”
79 قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ বলুন, যিনি প্রথমবার সেগুলোকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনিই জীবিত করবেন। তিনি সর্বপ্রকার সৃষ্টি সম্পর্কে সম্যক অবগত। Say, “He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!
80 الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الشَّجَرِ الْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَا أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ যিনি তোমাদের জন্যে সবুজ বৃক্ষ থেকে আগুন উৎপন্ন করেন। তখন তোমরা তা থেকে আগুন জ্বালাও।” The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! ye kindle therewith (your own fires)!
81 أَوَلَيْسَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم بَلَى وَهُوَ الْخَلَّاقُ الْعَلِيمُ যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনিই কি তাদের অনুরূপ সৃষ্টি করতে সক্ষম নন? হ্যাঁ তিনি মহাস্রষ্টা, সর্বজ্ঞ।” Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?” – Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)!
82 إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُ إِذَا أَرَادَ شَيْئًا أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ তিনি যখন কোন কিছু করতে ইচ্ছা করেন, তখন তাকে কেবল বলে দেন, ‘হও’ তখনই তা হয়ে যায়। Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, “be”, and it is!
83. فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ অতএব পবিত্র তিনি, যাঁর হাতে সবকিছুর রাজত্ব এবং তাঁরই দিকে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে। So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye be all brought back.
37) সূরা আস-সাফফাত – Surah As-Saffat (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ – Ayah 182)
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِশুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।
(60 إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
নিশ্চয় এই মহা সাফল্য।
Verily this is the supreme achievement!
(61
لِمِثْلِ هَذَا فَلْيَعْمَلْ الْعَامِلُونَ
এমন সাফল্যের জন্যে পরিশ্রমীদের পরিশ্রম করা উচিত।
For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive.
(62 أَذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
এই কি উত্তম আপ্যায়ন, না যাক্কুম বৃক্ষ?
Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum?
(63 إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّالِمِينَ
আমি যালেমদের জন্যে একে বিপদ করেছি।
For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers.
(64 إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ
এটি একটি বৃক্ষ, যা উদগত হয় জাহান্নামের মূলে।
For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire:
(65 طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُؤُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ
এর গুচ্ছ শয়তানের মস্তকের মত।
The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils:
(66 فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِؤُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
কাফেররা একে ভক্ষণ করবে এবং এর দ্বারা উদর পূর্ণ করবে।
Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith.
(67 ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ
তদুপরি তাদেরকে দেয়া হবে। ফুটন্ত পানির মিশ্রণ,
Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water.
(68 ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ
অতঃপর তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন হবে জাহান্নামের দিকে।
Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire.
(69 إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
তারা তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছিল বিপথগামী।
Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path;
(70 فَهُمْ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
অতঃপর তারা তদের পদাংক অনুসরণে তৎপর ছিল।
So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps!
(71 وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
তাদের পূর্বেও অগ্রবর্তীদের অধিকাংশ বিপথগামী হয়েছিল।
And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;-
(72 وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
আমি তাদের মধ্যে ভীতি প্রদর্শনকারী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম।
But We sent aforetime, among them, (apostles) to admonish them;-
(73 فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
অতএব লক্ষ্য করুন, যাদেরকে ভীতিপ্রদর্শণ করা হয়েছিল, তাদের পরিণতি কি হয়েছে।
Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),-
(74 إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
তবে আল্লাহর বাছাই করা বান্দাদের কথা ভিন্ন।
Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah.
(75 وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ
আর নূহ আমাকে ডেকেছিল। আর কি চমৎকারভাবে আমি তার ডাকে সাড়া দিয়েছিলাম।
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer.
(76 وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
আমি তাকে ও তার পরিবারবর্গকে এক মহাসংকট থেকে রক্ষা করেছিলাম।
And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity,
(77وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمْ الْبَاقِينَ
এবং তার বংশধরদেরকেই আমি অবশিষ্ট রেখেছিলাম।
And made his progeny to endure (on this earth);
(78 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
আমি তার জন্যে পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে এ বিষয় রেখে দিয়েছি যে,
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times:
(79 سَلَامٌ عَلَى نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ
বিশ্ববাসীর মধ্যে নূহের প্রতি শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক।
“Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!”
(80 إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
আমি এভাবেই সৎকর্ম পরায়নদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি।
Thus indeed do we reward those who do right.
(81 إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
সে ছিল আমার ঈমানদার বান্দাদের অন্যতম।
For he was one of our believing Servants.(82
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
অতঃপর আমি অপরাপর সবাইকে নিমজ্জত করেছিলাম।
Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood.
(83 وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
আর নূহপন্থীদেরই একজন ছিল ইব্রাহীম।
Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham.
(84 إِذْ جَاء رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
যখন সে তার পালনকর্তার নিকট সুষ্ঠু চিত্তে উপস্থিত হয়েছিল,
Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart.
(85 إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
যখন সে তার পিতা ও সম্প্রদায়কে বলেছিলঃ তোমরা কিসের উপাসনা করছ?
Behold! he said to his father and to his people, “What is that which ye worship?
(86 أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
তোমরা কি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত মিথ্যা উপাস্য কামনা করছ?
“Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah. that ye desire?
(87 فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা সম্পর্কে তোমাদের ধারণা কি?
“Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?”
(88 فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ
অতঃপর সে একবার তারকাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করল।
Then did he cast a glance at the Stars.
(89 فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ
এবং বললঃ আমি পীড়িত।
And he said, “I am indeed sick (at heart)!”
(90 فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
অতঃপর তারা তার প্রতি পিঠ ফিরিয়ে চলে গেল।
So they turned away from him, and departed.
(91 فَرَاغَ إِلَى آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
অতঃপর সে তাদের দেবালয়ে, গিয়ে ঢুকল এবং বললঃ তোমরা খাচ্ছ না কেন?
Then did he turn to their gods and said, “will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?.
(92 مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ
তোমাদের কি হল যে, কথা বলছ না?
“What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?”
(93 فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ
অতঃপর সে প্রবল আঘাতে তাদের উপর ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ল।
Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand.
(94 فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
তখন লোকজন তার দিকে ছুটে এলো ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত পদে।
Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him).
(95 قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
সে বললঃ তোমরা স্বহস্ত নির্মিত পাথরের পূজা কর কেন?
He said: “Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved?
(96 وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
অথচ আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমরা যা নির্মাণ করছ সবাইকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন।
“But Allah has created you and your handwork!”
(97 قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
তারা বললঃ এর জন্যে একটি ভিত নির্মাণ কর এবং অতঃপর তাকে আগুনের স্তুপে নিক্ষেপ কর।
They said, “Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!”
(98 فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ
তারপর তারা তার বিরুদ্ধে মহা ষড়যন্ত্র আঁটতে চাইল, কিন্তু আমি তাদেরকেই পরাভূত করে দিলাম।
(This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated!
(99 وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَى رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
সে বললঃ আমি আমার পালনকর্তার দিকে চললাম, তিনি আমাকে পথপ্রদর্শন করবেন।
He said: “I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me!
(100 رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার! আমাকে এক সৎপুত্র দান কর।
“O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!”
(101 فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ
সুতরাং আমি তাকে এক সহনশীল পুত্রের সুসংবাদ দান করলাম।
So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.
(102 فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاء اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
অতঃপর সে যখন পিতার সাথে চলাফেরা করার বয়সে উপনীত হল, তখন ইব্রাহীম তাকে বললঃ বৎস! আমি স্বপ্নে দেখিযে, তোমাকে যবেহ করছি; এখন তোমার অভিমত কি দেখ। সে বললঃ পিতাঃ! আপনাকে যা আদেশ করা হয়েছে, তাই করুন। আল্লাহ চাহে তো আপনি আমাকে সবরকারী পাবেন।
Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: “O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!” (The son) said: “O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!”
(103 فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ
যখন পিতা-পুত্র উভয়েই আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করল এবং ইব্রাহীম তাকে যবেহ করার জন্যে শায়িত করল।
So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah., and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice),
(104
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
তখন আমি তাকে ডেকে বললামঃ হে ইব্রাহীম,
We called out to him “O Abraham!
(105 قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
তুমি তো স্বপ্নকে সত্যে পরিণত করে দেখালে! আমি এভাবেই সৎকর্মীদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি।
“Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!” – thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
(106 إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلَاء الْمُبِينُ
নিশ্চয় এটা এক সুস্পষ্ট পরীক্ষা।
For this was obviously a trial-
(107 وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
আমি তার পরিবর্তে দিলাম যবেহ করার জন্যে এক মহান জন্তু।
And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice:
(108 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
আমি তার জন্যে এ বিষয়টি পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে রেখে দিয়েছি যে,
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:
(109 سَلَامٌ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ
ইব্রাহীমের প্রতি সালাম বর্ষিত হোক।
“Peace and salutation to Abraham!”
(110 كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
এমনিভাবে আমি সৎকর্মীদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি।
Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
(111 إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
সে ছিল আমার বিশ্বাসী বান্দাদের একজন।
For he was one of our believing Servants.
(112 وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
আমি তাকে সুসংবাদ দিয়েছি ইসহাকের, সে সৎকর্মীদের মধ্য থেকে একজন নবী।
And We gave him the good news of Isaac – a prophet,- one of the Righteous.
(113 وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى إِسْحَقَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
তাকে এবং ইসহাককে আমি বরকত দান করেছি। তাদের বংশধরদের মধ্যে কতক সৎকর্মী এবং কতক নিজেদের উপর স্পষ্ট জুলুমকারী।
We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls.
(114 وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ
আমি অনুগ্রহ করেছিলাম মূসা ও হারুনের প্রতি।
Again (of old) We bestowed Our favor on Moses and Aaron,
(115 وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
তাদেরকে ও তাদের সম্প্রদায়কে উদ্ধার করেছি মহা সংকট থেকে।
And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity;
(116 وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
আমি তাদেরকে সাহায্য করেছিলাম, ফলে তারাই ছিল বিজয়ী।
And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles);
(117 وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
আমি উভয়কে দিয়েছিলাম সুস্পষ্ট কিতাব।
And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear;
(118 وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
এবং তাদেরকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেছিলাম।
And We guided them to the Straight Way.
(119 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الْآخِرِينَ
আমি তাদের জন্যে পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে এ বিষয় রেখে দিয়েছি যে,
And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times:
(120 سَلَامٌ عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ
মূসা ও হারুনের প্রতি সালাম বর্ষিত হোক।
“Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!”
(121 إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
এভাবে আমি সৎকর্মীদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি।
Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
(122 إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
তারা উভয়েই ছিল আমার বিশ্বাসী বান্দাদের অন্যতম।
For they were two of our believing Servants.
(123 وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنْ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
নিশ্চয়ই ইলিয়াস ছিল রসূল।
So also was Elias among those sent (by Us).
(124 إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
যখন সে তার সম্প্রদায়কে বললঃ তোমরা কি ভয় কর না ?
Behold, he said to his people, “Will ye not fear ((Allah))?
(125 أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
তোমরা কি বা’আল দেবতার এবাদত করবে এবং সর্বোত্তম স্রষ্টাকে পরিত্যাগ করবে।
“Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,-
(126 وَاللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
যিনি আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা এবং তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের পালনকর্তা?
“(Allah), your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?”
(127 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
অতঃপর তারা তাকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করল। অতএব তারা অবশ্যই গ্রেফতার হয়ে আসবে।
But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),-
(128 إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা’আলার খাঁটি বান্দাগণ নয়।
Except for the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them).
(129 وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
আমি তার জন্যে পরবর্তীদের মধ্যে এ বিষয়ে রেখে দিয়েছি যে,
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:
(130 سَلَامٌ عَلَى إِلْ يَاسِينَ
ইলিয়াসের প্রতি সালাম বর্ষিত হোক!
“Peace and salutation to such as Elias!”
(131 إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
এভাবেই আমি সৎকর্মীদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি।
Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
(132 إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
সে ছিল আমার বিশ্বাসী বান্দাদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত।
For he was one of our believing Servants.
(133 وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَّمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
নিশ্চয় লূত ছিলেন রসূলগণের একজন।
So also was Lut among those sent (by Us).
(134 إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
যখন আমি তাকেও তার পরিবারের সবাইকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম;
Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all
(135 إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
কিন্তু এক বৃদ্ধাকে ছাড়া; সে অন্যান্যদের সঙ্গে থেকে গিয়েছিল।
Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind:
(136 ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
অতঃপর অবশিষ্টদেরকে আমি সমূলে উৎপাটিত করেছিলাম।
Then We destroyed the rest.
(137 وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ
তোমরা তোমাদের ধ্বংস স্তুপের উপর দিয়ে গমন কর ভোর বেলায়
Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day-
(138 وَبِاللَّيْلِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
এবং সন্ধ্যায়, তার পরেও কি তোমরা বোঝ না?
And by night: will ye not understand?
(139 وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
আর ইউনুসও ছিলেন পয়গম্বরগণের একজন।
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us).
(140 إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
যখন পালিয়ে তিনি বোঝাই নৌকায় গিয়ে পৌঁছেছিলেন।
When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden,
(141فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنْ الْمُدْحَضِينَ
অতঃপর লটারী (সুরতি) করালে তিনি দোষী সাব্যস্ত হলেন।
He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned:
(142 فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
অতঃপর একটি মাছ তাঁকে গিলে ফেলল, তখন তিনি অপরাধী গণ্য হয়েছিলেন।
Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame.
(143 فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنْ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ
যদি তিনি আল্লাহর তসবীহ পাঠ না করতেন,
Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah,
(144 لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
তবে তাঁকে কেয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্ত মাছের পেটেই থাকতে হত।
He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection.
(145 فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاء وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
অতঃপর আমি তাঁকে এক বিস্তীর্ণ-বিজন প্রান্তরে নিক্ষেপ করলাম, তখন তিনি ছিলেন রুগ্ন।
But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness,
(146 وَأَنبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ
আমি তাঁর উপর এক লতাবিশিষ্ট বৃক্ষ উদগত করলাম।
And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind.
(147 وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى مِئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
এবং তাঁকে, লক্ষ বা ততোধিক লোকের প্রতি প্রেরণ করলাম।
And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more.
(148 فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَى حِينٍ
তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করল অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে নির্ধারিত সময় পর্যন্ত জীবনোপভোগ করতে দিলাম।
And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.
(149 فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ
এবার তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, তোমার পালনকর্তার জন্যে কি কন্যা সন্তান রয়েছে এবং তাদের জন্যে কি পুত্র-সন্তান।
Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?-
(150 أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
না কি আমি তাদের উপস্থিতিতে ফেরেশতাগণকে নারীরূপে সৃষ্টি করেছি?
Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)?
(151 أَلَا إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
জেনো, তারা মনগড়া উক্তি করে যে,
Is it not that they say, from their own invention,
(152 وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
আল্লাহ সন্তান জন্ম দিয়েছেন। নিশ্চয় তারা মিথ্যাবাদী।
“(Allah) has begotten children”? but they are liars!
(153 أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ
তিনি কি পুত্র-সন্তানের স্থলে কন্যা-সন্তান পছন্দ করেছেন?
Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons?
(154 مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
তোমাদের কি হল? তোমাদের এ কেমন সিন্ধান্ত?
What is the matter with you? How judge ye?
(155 أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
তোমরা কি অনুধাবন কর না?
Will ye not then receive admonition?
(156 أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
না কি তোমাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট কোন দলীল রয়েছে?
Or have ye an authority manifest?
(157 فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে তোমাদের কিতাব আন।
Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful!
(158 وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
তারা আল্লাহ ও জ্বিনদের মধ্যে সম্পর্ক সাব্যস্ত করেছে, অথচ জ্বিনেরা জানে যে, তারা গ্রেফতার হয়ে আসবে।
And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment- Seat)!
(159 سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
তারা যা বলে তা থেকে আল্লাহ পবিত্র।
Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the things, they ascribe (to Him)!
(160 إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
তবে যারা আল্লাহর নিষ্ঠাবান বান্দা, তারা গ্রেফতার হয়ে আসবে না।
Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted.
(161 فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ
অতএব তোমরা এবং তোমরা যাদের উপাসনা কর,
For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship-
(162 مَا أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ
তাদের কাউকেই তোমরা আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে বিভ্রান্ত করতে পারবে না।
Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah,
(163 إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ
শুধুমাত্র তাদের ছাড়া যারা জাহান্নামে পৌছাবে।
Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire!
(164 وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
আমাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্য রয়েছে নির্দিষ্ট স্থান।
(Those ranged in ranks say): “Not one of us but has a place appointed;
(165 وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ
এবং আমরাই সারিবদ্ধভাবে দন্ডায়মান থাকি।
“And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service);
(166 وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ
এবং আমরাই আল্লাহর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করি।
“And we are verily those who declare ((Allah)’s) glory!”
(167
وَإِنْ كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ
তারা তো বলতঃ
And there were those who said,
(168 لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنْ الْأَوَّلِينَ
যদি আমাদের কাছে পূর্ববর্তীদের কোন উপদেশ থাকত,
“If only we had had before us a Message from those of old,
(169 لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
তবে আমরা অবশ্যই আল্লাহর মনোনীত বান্দা হতাম।
“We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!”
(170 فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
বস্তুতঃ তারা এই কোরআনকে অস্বীকার করেছে। এখন শীঘ্রই তারা জেনে নিতে পারবে,
But (now that the Qur’an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know!
(171 وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ
আমার রাসূল ও বান্দাগণের ব্যাপারে আমার এই বাক্য সত্য হয়েছে যে,
Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us),
(172 إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنصُورُونَ
অবশ্যই তারা সাহায্য প্রাপ্ত হয়।
That they would certainly be assisted,
(173 وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ
আর আমার বাহিনীই হয় বিজয়ী।
And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer.
(174 فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّى حِينٍ
অতএব আপনি কিছুকালের জন্যে তাদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন।
So turn thou away from them for a little while,
(175 وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
এবং তাদেরকে দেখতে থাকুন। শীঘ্রই তারাও এর পরিণাম দেখে নেবে।
And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)!
(176 أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
আমার আযাব কি তারা দ্রুত কামনা করে?
Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment?
(177 فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاء صَبَاحُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
অতঃপর যখন তাদের আঙ্গিনায় আযাব নাযিল হবে, তখন যাদেরকে সতর্ক করা হয়েছিল, তাদের সকাল বেলাটি হবে খুবই মন্দ।
But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)!
(178وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّى حِينٍ
আপনি কিছুকালের জন্যে তাদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন।
So turn thou away from them for a little while,
(179 وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
এবং দেখতে থাকুন, শীঘ্রই তারাও এর পরিণাম দেখে নেবে।
And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)!
(180 سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
পবিত্র আপনার পরওয়ারদেগারের সত্তা, তিনি সম্মানিত ও পবিত্র যা তারা বর্ণনা করে তা থেকে।
Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)!
(181 وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ
পয়গম্বরগণের প্রতি সালাম বর্ষিত হোক।
And Peace on the apostles!
(182 وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
38) সূরা ছোয়াদ – Surah Swadh (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ – Ayah 88)
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।
(1 ص وَالْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ
ছোয়াদ।
শপথ উপদেশপূর্ণ কোরআনের,
Sad: By the Qur’an, Full of Admonition: (This is the Truth).
(2 بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي عِزَّةٍ وَشِقَاقٍ
বরং যারা কাফের, তারা অহংকার ও বিরোধিতায় লিপ্ত।
But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism.
(3 كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوْا وَلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍ
তাদের আগে আমি কত জনগোষ্ঠীকে ধ্বংস করেছি, অতঃপর তারা আর্তনাদ করতে শুরু করেছে কিন্তু তাদের নিষ্কৃতি লাভের সময় ছিল না।
How many generations before them did We destroy?
In the end they cried (for mercy)- when there was no longer time for being saved!
(4 وَعَجِبُوا أَن جَاءهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ
তারা বিস্ময়বোধ করে যে, তাদেরই কাছে তাদের মধ্যে থেকে একজন সতর্ককারী আগমন করেছেন। আর কাফেররা বলে এ-তো এক মিথ্যাচারী যাদুকর।
So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say,
“This is a sorcerer telling lies
(5 أَجَعَلَ الْآلِهَةَ إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ
সে কি বহু উপাস্যের পরিবর্তে এক উপাস্যের উপাসনা সাব্যস্ত করে দিয়েছে। নিশ্চয় এটা এক বিস্ময়কর ব্যাপার।
“Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah. Truly this is a wonderful thing!”
(6 وَانطَلَقَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ امْشُوا وَاصْبِرُوا عَلَى آلِهَتِكُمْ إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ يُرَادُ
তাদের কতিপয় বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তি একথা বলে প্রস্থান করে যে, তোমরা চলে যাও এবং তোমাদের উপাস্যদের পূজায় দৃঢ় থাক। নিশ্চয়ই এ বক্তব্য কোন বিশেষ উদ্দেশ্যে প্রণোদিত।
And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), “Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)!
(7 مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي الْمِلَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا اخْتِلَاقٌ আমরা সাবেক ধর্মে এ ধরনের কথা শুনিনি। এটা মনগড়া ব্যাপার বৈ নয়। “We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!”
(8 أَأُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ مِن بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّن ذِكْرِي بَلْ لَمَّا يَذُوقُوا عَذَابِ
আমাদের মধ্য থেকে শুধু কি তারই প্রতি উপদেশ বানী অবতীর্ণ হল? বস্তুতঃ ওরা আমার উপদেশ সম্পর্কে সন্দিহান; বরং ওরা এখনও আমার মার আস্বাদন করেনি।
“What! has the Message been sent to him – (Of all persons) among us?”…but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment!
(9 أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ الْعَزِيزِ الْوَهَّابِ
না কি তাদের কাছে আপনার পরাক্রান্ত দয়াবান পালনকর্তার রহমতের কোন ভান্ডার রয়েছে?
Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure?
(10 أَمْ لَهُم مُّلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَلْيَرْتَقُوا فِي الْأَسْبَابِ
নাকি নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর উপর তাদের সাম্রাজ্য রয়েছে? থাকলে তাদের আকাশে আরোহণ করা উচিত রশি ঝুলিয়ে।
Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? If so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)!
(11 جُندٌ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌ مِّنَ الْأَحْزَابِ
এক্ষেত্রে বহু বাহিনীর মধ্যে ওদেরও এক বাহিনী আছে, যা পরাজিত হবে।
But there – will be put to flight even a host of confederates.
(12 كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو الْأَوْتَادِ
তাদের পূর্বেও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায়, আদ, কীলক বিশিষ্ট ফেরাউন,
Before them (were many who) rejected apostles,- the people of Noah, and ‘Ad, and Pharaoh, the Lord of Stakes,
(13 وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ أُوْلَئِكَ الْأَحْزَابُ
সামুদ, লূতের সম্প্রদায় ও আইকার লোকেরা। এরাই ছিল বহু বাহিনী।
And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; – such were the Confederates.
(14 إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ
এদের প্রত্যেকেই পয়গম্বরগণের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছে। ফলে আমার আযাব প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
Not one (of them) but rejected the apostles, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them)
. (15 وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَؤُلَاء إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍ
কেবল একটি মহানাদের অপেক্ষা করছে, যাতে দম ফেলার অবকাশ থাকবে না।
These (today) only wait for a single mighty Blast, which (when it comes) will brook no delay.
(16 وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ
তারা বলে, হে আমাদের পরওয়ারদেগার, আমাদের প্রাপ্য অংশ হিসাব দিবসের আগেই দিয়ে দাও।
They say: “Our Lord! hasten to us our sentence (even) before the Day of Account!”
(17 اصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ
তারা যা বলে তাতে আপনি সবর করুন এবং আমার শক্তিশালী বান্দা দাউদকে স্মরণ করুন। সে ছিল আমার প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
Have patience at what they say, and remember our servant David, the man of strength: for he ever turned (to Allah..
(18 إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا الْجِبَالَ مَعَهُ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِشْرَاقِ
আমি পর্বতমালাকে তার অনুগামী করে দিয়েছিলাম, তারা সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তার সাথে পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করত;
It was We that made the hills declare, in unison with him, Our Praises, at eventide and at break of day,
(19 وَالطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَةً كُلٌّ لَّهُ أَوَّابٌ
আর পক্ষীকুলকেও, যারা তার কাছে সমবেত হত। সবাই ছিল তাঁর প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
And the birds gathered (in assemblies): all with him did turn (to Allah..
(20 وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ
আমি তাঁর সাম্রাজ্যকে সুদৃঢ় করেছিলাম এবং তাঁকে দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও ফয়সালাকারী বাগ্নীতা।
We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and sound judgment in speech and decision.
(21 وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ نَبَأُ الْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا الْمِحْرَابَ
আপনার কাছে দাবীদারদের বৃত্তান্ত পৌছেছে, যখন তারা প্রাচীর ডিঙ্গীয়ে এবাদত খানায় প্রবেশ করেছিল।
Has the Story of the Disputants reached thee? Behold, they climbed over the wall of the private chamber;
(22 إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَى دَاوُودَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ خَصْمَانِ بَغَى بَعْضُنَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَاهْدِنَا إِلَى سَوَاء الصِّرَاطِ
যখন তারা দাউদের কাছে অনুপ্রবেশ করল, তখন সে সন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়ল। তারা বললঃ ভয় করবেন না; আমরা বিবদমান দুটি পক্ষ, একে অপরের প্রতি বাড়াবাড়ি করেছি। অতএব, আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায়বিচার করুন, অবিচার করবেন না। আমাদেরকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করুন।
When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: “Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path.
(23 إِنَّ هَذَا أَخِي لَهُ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةً وَلِيَ نَعْجَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي الْخِطَابِ
সে আমার ভাই, সে নিরানব্বই দুম্বার মালিক আর আমি মালিক একটি মাদী দুম্বার। এরপরও সে বলেঃ এটিও আমাকে দিয়ে দাও। সে কথাবার্তায় আমার উপর বল প্রয়োগ করে।
“This man is my brother: He has nine and ninety ewes, and I have (but) one: Yet he says, ‘commit her to my care,’ and is (moreover) harsh to me in speech.”
(24 قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَى نِعَاجِهِ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْ الْخُلَطَاء لَيَبْغِي بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَّا هُمْ وَظَنَّ دَاوُودُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّاهُ فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًا وَأَنَابَ
দাউদ বললঃ সে তোমার দুম্বাটিকে নিজের দুম্বাগুলোর সাথে সংযুক্ত করার দাবী করে তোমার প্রতি অবিচার করেছে। শরীকদের অনেকেই একে অপরের প্রতি জুলুম করে থাকে। তবে তারা করে না, যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদনকারী। অবশ্য এমন লোকের সংখ্যা অল্প। দাউদের খেয়াল হল যে, আমি তাকে পরীক্ষা করছি। অতঃপর সে তার পালনকর্তার কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করল, সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ল এবং তাঁর দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন করল।
(David) said: “He has undoubtedly wronged thee in demanding thy (single) ewe to be added to his (flock of) ewes: truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other: Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?”…and David gathered that We had tried him: he asked forgiveness of his Lord, fell down, bowing (in prostration), and turned (to Allah in repentance).
(25 فَغَفَرْنَا لَهُ ذَلِكَ وَإِنَّ لَهُ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَى وَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ
আমি তার সে অপরাধ ক্ষমা করলাম। নিশ্চয় আমার কাছে তার জন্যে রয়েছে উচ্চ মর্তবা ও সুন্দর আবাসস্থল।
So We forgave him this (lapse): he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful place of (Final) Return.
(26 يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَى فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ
হে দাউদ! আমি তোমাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি করেছি, অতএব, তুমি মানুষের মাঝে ন্যায়সঙ্গতভাবে রাজত্ব কর এবং খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করো না। তা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেবে। নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি, এ কারণে যে, তারা হিসাবদিবসকে ভূলে যায়।
O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah. for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account.
(27 وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَاطِلًا ذَلِكَ ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنَ النَّارِ
আমি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী কোন কিছু অযথা সৃষ্টি করিনি। এটা কাফেরদের ধারণা। অতএব, কাফেরদের জন্যে রয়েছে দূর্ভোগ অর্থাৎ জাহান্নাম।
Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)!
(28 أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ
আমি কি বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্মীদেরকে পৃথিবীতে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারী কাফেরদের সমতুল্য করে দেব? না খোদাভীরুদেরকে পাপাচারীদের সম্মান করে দেব।
Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right?
(29 كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ
এটি একটি বরকতময় কিতাব, যা আমি আপনার প্রতি বরকত হিসেবে অবতীর্ণ করেছি, যাতে মানুষ এর আয়াতসূহ লক্ষ্য করে এবং বুদ্ধিমানগণ যেন তা অনুধাবন করে।
(Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition.
(30 وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُودَ سُلَيْمَانَ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ
আমি দাউদকে সোলায়মান দান করেছি। সে একজন উত্তম বান্দা। সে ছিল প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)!
(31 إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَشِيِّ الصَّافِنَاتُ الْجِيَادُ
যখন তার সামনে অপরাহ্নে উৎকৃষ্ট অশ্বরাজি পেশ করা হল,
Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot;
(32 فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ الْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّي حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ
তখন সে বললঃ আমি তো আমার পরওয়ারদেগারের স্মরণে বিস্মৃত হয়ে সম্পদের মহব্বতে মুগ্ধ হয়ে পড়েছি-এমনকি সূর্য ডুবে গেছে।
And he said, “Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,”- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night):
(33 رُدُّوهَا عَلَيَّ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًا بِالسُّوقِ وَالْأَعْنَاقِ
এগুলোকে আমার কাছে ফিরিয়ে আন। অতঃপর সে তাদের পা ও গলদেশ ছেদন করতে শুরু করল।
“Bring them back to me.” then began he to pass his hand over (their) legs and their necks.
(34 وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَى كُرْسِيِّهِ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
আমি সোলায়মানকে পরীক্ষা করলাম এবং রেখে দিলাম তার সিংহাসনের উপর একটি নিস্প্রাণ দেহ। অতঃপর সে রুজু হল
। And We did try Solomon: We placed on his throne a body (without life); but he did turn (to Us in true devotion):
(35 قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لَّا يَنبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِّنْ بَعْدِي إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ
সোলায়মান বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে মাফ করুন এবং আমাকে এমন সাম্রাজ্য দান করুন যা আমার পরে আর কেউ পেতে পারবে না। নিশ্চয় আপনি মহাদাতা।
He said, “O my Lord! Forgive me, and grant me a kingdom which, (it may be), suits not another after me: for Thou art the Grantor of Bounties (without measure).
(36 فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيحَ تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ رُخَاء حَيْثُ أَصَابَ
তখন আমি বাতাসকে তার অনুগত করে দিলাম, যা তার হুকুমে অবাধে প্রবাহিত হত যেখানে সে পৌছাতে চাইত।
Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,-
(37 وَالشَّيَاطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّاء وَغَوَّاصٍ
আর সকল শয়তানকে তার অধীন করে দিলাম অর্থৎ, যারা ছিল প্রাসাদ নির্মাণকারী ও ডুবুরী।
As also the evil ones, (including) every kind of builder and diver,-
(38 وَآخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ
এবং অন্য আরও অনেককে অধীন করে দিলাম, যারা আবদ্ধ থাকত শৃঙ্খলে।
As also others bound together in fetters.
(39 هَذَا عَطَاؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
এগুলো আমার অনুগ্রহ, অতএব, এগুলো কাউকে দাও অথবা নিজে রেখে দাও-এর কোন হিসেব দিতে হবে না।
“Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked.”
(40 وَإِنَّ لَهُ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَى وَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ
নিশ্চয় তার জন্যে আমার কাছে রয়েছে মর্যাদা ও শুভ পরিণতি।
And he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful Place of (Final) Return.
(41 وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ
স্মরণ করুণ, আমার বান্দা আইয়্যুবের কথা, যখন সে তার পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে বললঃ শয়তান আমাকে যন্ত্রণা ও কষ্ট পৌছিয়েছে।
Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: “The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!”
(42 ارْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ هَذَا مُغْتَسَلٌ بَارِدٌ وَشَرَابٌ
তুমি তোমার পা দিয়ে ভূমিতে আঘাত কর। ঝরণা নির্গত হল গোসল করার জন্যে শীতল ও পান করার জন্যে।
(The command was given:)
“Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink.”
(43 وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَى لِأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ
আমি তাকে দিলাম তার পরিজনবর্গ ও তাদের মত আরও অনেক আমার পক্ষ থেকে রহমতস্বরূপ এবং বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্যে উপদেশস্বরূপ।
And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding.
(44 وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَاضْرِب بِّهِ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَاهُ صَابِرًا نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ
তুমি তোমার হাতে এক মুঠো তৃণশলা নাও, তদ্বারা আঘাত কর এবং শপথ ভঙ্গ করো না। আমি তাকে পেলাম সবরকারী। চমৎকার বান্দা সে। নিশ্চয় সে ছিল প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
“And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath).” Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)!
(45 وَاذْكُرْ عِبَادَنَا إبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُوْلِي الْأَيْدِي وَالْأَبْصَارِ
স্মরণ করুন, হাত ও চোখের অধিকারী আমার বান্দা ইব্রাহীম, ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুবের কথা।
And commemorate Our Servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of Power and Vision.
(46 إِنَّا أَخْلَصْنَاهُم بِخَالِصَةٍ ذِكْرَى الدَّارِ
আমি তাদের এক বিশেষ গুণ তথা পরকালের স্মরণ দ্বারা স্বাতন্ত্র্য দান করেছিলাম।
Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter.
(47 وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ الْأَخْيَارِ
আর তারা আমার কাছে মনোনীত ও সৎলোকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good.
(48 وَاذْكُرْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ وَكُلٌّ مِّنْ الْأَخْيَارِ
স্মরণ করুণ, ইসমাঈল, আল ইয়াসা ও যুলকিফলের কথা। তারা প্রত্যেকেই গুনীজন।
And commemorate Isma’il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good.
(49 هَذَا ذِكْرٌ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ
এ এক মহৎ আলোচনা। খোদাভীরুদের জন্যে রয়েছে উত্তম ঠিকানা-
This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,-
(50 جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ الْأَبْوَابُ
তথা স্থায়ী বসবাসের জান্নাত; তাদের জন্যে তার দ্বার উম্মুক্ত রয়েছে।
Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them;
(51 مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَشَرَابٍ
সেখানে তারা হেলান দিয়ে বসবে। তারা সেখানে চাইবে অনেক ফল-মূল ও পানীয়।
Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink;
(52 وَعِندَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ
তাদের কাছে থাকবে আনতনয়না সমবয়স্কা রমণীগণ।
And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age.
(53 هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ তোমাদেরকে এরই প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়া হচ্ছে বিচার দিবসের জন্যে।
Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account!
(54 إِنَّ هَذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُ مِن نَّفَادٍ
এটা আমার দেয়া রিযিক যা শেষ হবে না।
Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;-
(55 هَذَا وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ
এটাতো শুনলে, এখন দুষ্টদের জন্যে রয়েছে নিকৃষ্ট ঠিকানা
Yea, such! but – for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!-
(56 جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
তথা জাহান্নাম। তারা সেখানে প্রবেশ করবে। অতএব, কত নিকৃষ্ট সেই আবাস স্থল।
Hell!- they will burn therein, – an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!-
(57 هَذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ
এটা উত্তপ্ত পানি ও পঁূজ; অতএব তারা একে আস্বাদন করুক।
Yea, such! – then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!-
(58 وَآخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ এ ধরনের আরও কিছু শাস্তি আছে।
And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them!
(59 هَذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا النَّارِ
এই তো একদল তোমাদের সাথে প্রবেশ করছে। তাদের জন্যে অভিনন্দন নেই তারা তো জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।
Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire!
(60 قَالُوا بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ
তারা বলবে, তোমাদের জন্যে ও তো অভিনন্দন নেই। তোমরাই আমাদেরকে এ বিপদের সম্মুখীন করেছ। অতএব, এটি কতই না ঘৃণ্য আবাসস্থল।
(The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) “Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!”
(61 قَالُوا رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِي النَّارِ
তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যে আমাদেরকে এর সম্মুখীন করেছে, আপনি জাহান্নামে তার শাস্তি দ্বিগুণ করে দিন।
They will say: “Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!”
(62 وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَى رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ الْأَشْرَارِ
তারা আরও বলবে, আমাদের কি হল যে, আমরা যাদেরকে মন্দ লোক বলে গণ্য করতাম, তাদেরকে এখানে দেখছি না।
And they will say: “What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones?
(63 أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْأَبْصَارُ
আমরা কি অহেতুক তাদেরকে ঠাট্টার পাত্র করে নিয়েছিলাম, না আমাদের দৃষ্টি ভুল করছে?
“Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?”
(64 إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ
এটা অর্থাৎ জাহান্নামীদের পারস্পরিক বাক-বিতন্ডা অবশ্যম্ভাবী।
Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire!
(65 قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مُنذِرٌ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
বলুন, আমি তো একজন সতর্ককারী মাত্র এবং এক পরাক্রমশালী আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। Say:
“Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,-
(66 رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
তিনি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সব কিছুর পালনকর্তা, পরাক্রমশালী, মার্জনাকারী।
“The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again.
(67 قُلْ هُوَ نَبَأٌ عَظِيمٌ
বলুন, এটি এক মহাসংবাদ,
Say: “That is a Message Supreme (above all),-
(68 أَنتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ যা থেকে তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছ।
“From which ye do turn away!
(69 مَا كَانَ لِي مِنْ عِلْمٍ بِالْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَى إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
ঊর্ধ্ব জগৎ সম্পর্কে আমার কোন জ্ঞান ছিল না যখন ফেরেশতারা কথাবার্তা বলছিল।
“No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves.
(70 إِن يُوحَى إِلَيَّ إِلَّا أَنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
আমার কাছে এ ওহীই আসে যে, আমি একজন স্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী।
‘Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly.”
(71 إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِن طِينٍ
যখন আপনার পালনকর্তা ফেরেশতাগণকে বললেন, আমি মাটির মানুষ সৃষ্টি করব।
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: “I am about to create man from clay:
(72 فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
যখন আমি তাকে সুষম করব এবং তাতে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দেব, তখন তোমরা তার সম্মুখে সেজদায় নত হয়ে যেয়ো।
“When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him.”
(73 فَسَجَدَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
অতঃপর সমস্ত ফেরেশতাই একযোগে সেজদায় নত হল, So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:
(74 إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ اسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنْ الْكَافِرِينَ
কিন্তু ইবলীস; সে অহংকার করল এবং অস্বীকারকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেল।
Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith.
(75 قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ الْعَالِينَ
আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
((Allah)) said: “O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?”
(76 قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ
সে বললঃ আমি তার চেয়ে উত্তম আপনি আমাকে আগুনের দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটির দ্বারা।
(Iblis) said: “I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay.”
(77 قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ আল্লাহ বললেনঃ বের হয়ে যা, এখান থেকে। কারণ, তুই অভিশপ্ত।
((Allah)) said: “Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed.
(78 وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِي إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
তোর প্রতি আমার এ অভিশাপ বিচার দিবস পর্যন্ত স্থায়ী হবে।
“And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment.”
(79 قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আপনি আমাকে পুনরুত্থান দিবস পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দিন।
(Iblis) said: “O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised.
(80 قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ আল্লঅহ বললেনঃ তোকে অবকাশ দেয়া হল।
((Allah)) said: “Respite then is granted thee-
(81 إِلَى يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ সে সময়ের দিন পর্যন্ত যা জানা।
“Till the Day of the Time Appointed.”
(82 قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
সে বলল, আপনার ইযযতের কসম, আমি অবশ্যই তাদের সবাইকে বিপথগামী করে দেব।
(Iblis) said: “Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong,-
(83 إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
তবে তাদের মধ্যে যারা আপনার খাঁটি বান্দা, তাদেরকে ছাড়া।
“Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace).”
(84 قَالَ فَالْحَقُّ وَالْحَقَّ أَقُولُ
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তাই ঠিক, আর আমি সত্য বলছি-
((Allah)) said: “Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting-
(85 لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
তোর দ্বারা আর তাদের মধ্যে যারা তোর অনুসরণ করবে তাদের দ্বারা আমি জাহান্নাম পূর্ণ করব।
“That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one.”
(86 قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ
বলুন, আমি তোমাদের কাছে কোন প্রতিদান চাই না আর আমি লৌকিকতাকারীও নই।
Say: “No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur’an), nor am I a pretender. (
87 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
এটা তো বিশ্ববাসীর জন্যে এক উপদেশ মাত্র।
“This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds.
(88 وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُ بَعْدَ حِينٍ
তোমরা কিছু কাল পরে এর সংবাদ অবশ্যই জানতে পারবে।
“And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while.”
